Upon Arrival
NU Car Rentals service in Aruba is provided in cooperation with CarVenience Aruba. PLEASE REMEMBER to include your airline and flight details at the time of booking. If your flight details were provided to us, once you exit the Baggage Claim area please proceed to the 2nd lane of the Pedestrian Pad-in front of the Arrivals Hall. Our agent will be waiting for you there with a NU-CarVenience sign bearing your name and take you to our location, a short 3 minutes from the Airport. If we did not receive your flight details please call us at 297- 523-0300 or 297-568-0383 as soon as you exit Baggage Claim. We will be happy to pick you up and get you on your way. Vehicles are held up to 2 hours after the arrival time stated on the reservation during operating hours.
Insurance Details
CDW- Collision Damage Waiver is not mandatory and may be purchased for the following amount in USD - ECMR...ECAR....15.00/day. Renter Responsibility - 600.00 CCAR............... 15.00/day Renter Responsibility - 600.0.. ICMR...ICAR.......15.00/day. Renter Responsibility - 600.00 XFAD 20.00/day. Renter Responsibility - 750.00 IFAR GVAR MVAR 25.00/day. Renter Responsibility - 1000.00 Should the renter NOT purchase our CDW they will be responsible for full value of any and all damages or loss of the vehicle. Mandatory Liability is included with a deductible of 250USD for Economy and Compact cars. 300USD for Compact Crossover SUV, 350USD for Intermediate cars, Vans and SUVs. PAI-Personal Accident Insurance is not available.
Special Equipment
Baby, Toddler and Infant seats are available for 5.00USD/day. GPS is available for 7.00USD per day. Request at the rental counter.
Fuel
All vehicles are delivered with a full tank of fuel and MUST be returned with the same amount of fuel in order to avoid a locally determined refueling charge. Prepaid fuel options are available. Please inquire at the rental counter at time of rental. Credit is not issued for unused fuel.
One Way
One-Way rentals are not available at this location. All vehicles MUST be returned to this location.
Geographic Restrict.
Vehicles are only allowed to be driven on paved roads and cannot be driven on beaches; to do so will void any insurance coverage. Vehicles are not allowed to be taken off the Island.
Driver Requirements
All Drivers must possess a valid Drivers License with a clean driving record. They must also present an accepted credit card in his or her own name at time of rental. Renters from outside the Island must have valid Drivers License from their country of residence. If their Drivers License is not in Roman alphabet they must have a valid International Drivers License and present their passport. Minimum age for driver is 23, maximum is 75. Underage drivers ages of 23 and 24 will be charged an Underage Surcharge of 5.00USD per day. An Additional driver will be charged 5.00USD per day. Spouses are excluded from this charge. Any underage driver and/or additional driver must also meet all rental requirements and have their name listed on the rental agreement at the time of rental.
Credit Card Guarantees
If you have reserved a pay on arrival rental, a credit card guarantee is required in order to reserve a vehicle. This credit card will be validated at the time of reservation and may show a 1.00USD temporary authorization on your credit card statement. However, no actual guarantee fee will be incurred unless the Customer is a No Show; in which case a No Show fee equivalent to a one day rental or a minimum of 50.00USD will be charged to the credit card provided as a guarantee. If your plans change you can avoid this fee by cancelling your reservation through the same site on which you made your reservation at least 48 hours in advance of your scheduled rental time. If you reserved a Prepaid (Pay Now) reservation, you will be charged a Booking Fee equivalent to the total charges of your reservation. The Credit Card used for prepayment MUST be presented at the rental counter at time of pick up. This is a non-refundable reservation and may not be modified. If you do not pick up your rental when scheduled your reservation will be cancelled and you will not receive a refund or a credit.
Inclusive Rate Pkg.
If you purchased an Inclusive Rate Package with us, our basic CDW is included in the rate, should there be any damage or theft to the vehicle, the renter will be responsible for the Excess amounts:................................................. ECMR, ECAR, CCMR, CCAR AND ICMR.......................500.00USD CFMN..................................................750.00USD ICAR, GVAR XFAR................... .........1000 USD For an additional 8.00USD per day you may purchase CDW2 which will eliminate any deductible/excess responsibility. Taxes and fees are also included in the rate. NOT included in the rate is fuel, special equipment, additional driver and underage driver surcharges.
Payment Options
We accept the following credit cards: American Express, MasterCard, Visa, Discover Card and Diner's Club. A security deposit of 500.00USD will be taken at the start of the rental along with the rental amount. The Deposit will be returned upon the return of the vehicle with no damage. Cash and Debit cards are not accepted for qualification at time of rental but may be used for payment upon return of the vehicle. A major credit card will still be required in order to qualify to rent.
Legal Notice
NU Car Rentals provides a car rental affiliate reservation system and acts as an agent for the convenience of you the customer and the local owned and operated car rental firm. We use reasonable commercial efforts to insure the accuracy of all information posted on our website or distributed to other websites. Our liability, if any, shall be limited to the amount of rental charges paid to us. The terms, conditions and prevailing law covering the rental shall be those stated on the rental contract presented at the actual rental location.
Additional Information
If you booked a Pay Now Special rate you will be charged in US dollars a nonrefundable deposit equivalent to the amount of the rental charges for the reserved period. Charges will appear on your statement as NU Car Rentals Website San Antonio, TX. Additional charges will be collected at rental in local currency A rental day consists of a 24 hour period. Changes to the reservation may result in a change of rate or an additional fee. There are no refunds for early returns. If After hours returns are permitted the renter will be billed to the start of the next business day and is responsible for the rental vehicle until inspected by a company representative. Please inquire at the rental counter for further details. Note there is no shuttle service available outside hours of operation Reservations for multiple vehicles must be made in different names or may not be honored. Smoking in vehicles or returning the vehicle where special cleaning may incur an additional fee per local policy. Makes and models are examples only and are not guaranteed.
