Upon Arrival
NU Car Rentals service is provided in cooperation with PrimeCar in Bogota. For International Arrivals turn right after exiting Customs and you will see our PrimeCar-NU Car Rentals counter on the left side of the corridor. For Domestic Arrivals after collecting your luggage turn right into the Connections area then left to exit. Continue straight ahead to the PrimeCar-NU Car Rentals counter located between the 3rd and 4th exit doors directly in front of Domestic Arrivals. Should you need to contact us please call +57 315 6714651. For cell phones or After Hours please call +57 318 8292496. During operating hours we hold vehicles up to one day if you are prepaid. If you are pay On Arrival we hold the vehicle up to one hour after the arrival time on your reservation. Please notify us of any delays
Insurance
Third Party Liability Insurance is included in the rate. PDW-Partial Damage Waiver-reduces your financial liability for damage to the rental vehicle its parts and accessories except in the case of theft or attempted theft or vandalism when the vehicle is used in accordance with the terms and conditions of the rental agreement. PDW is 12.00USD per day with a 750.00USD deductible for sedans and a 1500.00USD deductible for SUVs. PDW does not cover loss of accessories such as tires, rims, radio, antenna, rear view or side mirror, vehicle documents lost key, etc. To decline PDW renter must provide written proof insurance is valid in Colombia and rental car company is covered In case of theft renter is responsible for 10 per cent of value of the vehicle. If PDW is not accepted a deposit of 3000.00USD will be held on your credit card otherwise the deposit is 750.00 USD for cars and 1500.00usd for SUVS, Vans, In the event of an accident or damage or theft regardless of fault the driver must obtain the relevant report from the local police. Failure to provide a correctly completed police report to the rental agent upon return of the vehicle will void the PDW and the driver will be liable for all damages up to the full cost of the vehicle, loss of use, administrative costs and depreciation. There is no smoking allowed in our vehicles. A fee of 80000 Colombian pesos will be charged to deodorize a vehicle. No pets are allowed in our vehicles. The vehicle is delivered clean and must be returned in the same condition with normal wear and tear. If the vehicle is not returned in the same condition our rental agent will inform you of the fee you are responsible for.
Special Equipment
Child seats are mandatory by law. They may be rented at the time of pick up depending on availability. Infant seats are 10.00USD per day up to 70.00USD max per rental. Toddler seats are 15.00USD per day up to 105.00USD per rental. GPS can be rented for 10.00USD per day up to 70.00USD max per rental depending on availability. A Colombian Sims card is 5.00USD per rental. Request at the rental counter.
Fuel
Vehicles must be returned with the same amount of fuel as at the start of the rental in order to avoid refueling charges. Please keep your receipt for verification purposes. If you do not have your receipt an employee of NU will accompany you to the nearest gas station so you can refuel.
One Ways
One way rentals are not allowed.
Geographic Restrict.
Vehicles are driven on the left side of the road. Vehicles are not allowed to be on the road during certain hours based on the city and the last number of the license plate. Details are available at the time of rental. Vehicles may not leave the country of Colombia.
Driver Qualification
All drivers are required to present a valid drivers license and their passport and major credit card in their own name with sufficient credit to cover the estimated rental and the deposit at the time of rental. If the license is not in Roman alphabet it must be accompanied by an International Drivers License. Colombians must provide Colombian DL and Passport or Cedula in order to rent. Additional drivers fee is 11.00 USD per day. The minimum age to rent is 23 years. The renter that picked up the vehicle must return it. If they do not there is an additional fee of 20 percent of the total rental
Credit Card Guarantees
If you have reserved a pay on arrival rental, a credit card guarantee is required in order to reserve a vehicle. This credit card will be validated at the time of reservation and may show a 1.00USD temporary authorization on your credit card statement. However, no actual guarantee fee will be incurred unless the Customer is a No Show; in which case a No Show fee equivalent to a one day rental or a minimum of 50.00USD will be charged to the credit card provided as a guarantee. If your plans change you can avoid this fee by cancelling your reservation through the same site on which you made your reservation at least 48 hours in advance of your scheduled rental time. If you reserved a Prepaid (Pay Now) reservation, you will be charged a Booking Fee equivalent to the total charges of your reservation. The Credit Card used for prepayment MUST be presented at the rental counter at time of pick up. This is a non-refundable reservation and may not be modified. If you do not pick up your rental when scheduled your reservation will be cancelled and you will not receive a refund or a credit.
Inclusive Rates
If you purchased an Inclusive rate Third Party Liability PDW and Theft are included in your rate along with mandatory taxes and fees. You remain responsible for the 750.00USD deductible for sedans and 1500.00USD deductible for SUVs. You also remain responsible for 10 percent of the value of the vehicle in case of theft. Not included are fuel, child safety seat, GPS or any other available options.
Credit/Debit
We accept American Express, Visa and Mastercard credit and debit cards in the renters own name. Only these cards can be used for the deposit hold. Cash will not be accepted for any transactions nor will travel vouchers be accepted. The credit card hold will vary depending on car group and whether our LDW is purchased. If purchased the hold will be 5 percent of the value of the car. If LDW is not purchased the hold will be 10 percent of the value of the car. Only one card can be used- the deposit amount cannot be split among cards. The Card number and name must be embossed. The numbers must be continuous from left to right and all information visible and legible. The card may not have any cracks or cuts. The renter must sign a fingerprint promissory note form accepting full responsibility for the rented car. There are no refunds for early returns. The money may be applied to a future rental no later than 6 months from the original date All options and additional fees are taxable.
Legal Notice
NU Car Rentals provides a car rental affiliate reservation system and acts as an agent for the convenience of you the customer and the local owned and operated car rental firm. We use reasonable commercial efforts to insure the accuracy of all information posted on our website or distributed to other websites. Our liability, if any, shall be limited to the amount of rental charges paid to us. The terms, conditions and prevailing law covering the rental shall be those stated on the rental contract presented at the actual rental location.
Additional Information
If you booked a Pay Now Special rate you will be charged in US dollars a nonrefundable deposit equivalent to the amount of the rental charges for the reserved period. Charges will appear on your statement as NU Car Rentals Website San Antonio, TX. Additional charges will be collected at rental in local currency A rental day consists of a 24 hour period. Changes to the reservation may result in a change of rate or an additional fee. There are no refunds for early returns. If After hours returns are permitted the renter will be billed to the start of the next business day and is responsible for the rental vehicle until inspected by a company representative. Please inquire at the rental counter for further details. Note there is no shuttle service available outside hours of operation Reservations for multiple vehicles must be made in different names or may not be honored.
