Upon Arrival
NU Car Rentals service is provided in cooperation with HPower Inv NC located at 4121 South Stream Boulevard, Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. Upon arrival at the Charlotte Douglas International Airport please follow the signs to the Shuttle Pick-up area located outside of baggage claim. A NU Car Rental courtesy shuttle will be by to pick you up at Zone 1 to take you to our location. If shuttle is not waiting please call plus 1-888-656-7383 ext 2 for North Carolina to contact us. Vehicles are held up to 2 hours after the arrival time on your reservation during office hours. Instructions for out of hours return - Park the car in front of the office- Make sure you have all your belongings and Lock the car - Place keys in Dropbox next to the door - Take pictures of vehicle and send to reports@nucarrentalsnc.com. Insurance Excess Deposit
Deposit:A security deposit of 1000.USD will be held at the start of the rental. Excess: The renter is responsible for all damage or loss to the rental vehicle.This responsibility may be reduced or eliminated. For additional information please inquire at our rental counter.
Special Equipment
Safety seats for children through 1 year of age are available for 9.95USD per day, ages 2-4yrs are also 9.95 USD per day and both are capped at 79.99USD per rental. Booster seats for 4-10 years are 5.25USD per day up to a max of 52.50USD per rental. Availability may be limited. GPS Navigation Systems are 7.95 USD per day - max of 79.50 USD Prepaid Toll System is 13.95USD per day. All options are taxable. Availability may be limited. Please request in advance or at the rental counter.
Fuel
Fuel is not included in the rate. All cars are provided with fuel and should be returned with the same amount of fuel as received in order to avoid a locally determined refueling charge of 7.00USD per missing gallon. We do offer prepaid fuel options for our customers convenience. Please ask our rental agent at time of rental. Credit is not issued for unused fuel.
One Way Rentals
Vehicles must be returned to our Rental location or the customer will be responsible for all costs incurred to return the vehicle to our offices.
Geographic Restrictions
Our rental cars can travel with unlimited mileage to the following States- North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia. Driving the vehicle outside these states without approval will result in the charge of a.1000.00USD fee plus 0.50USD per mile. It is forbidden to take the vehicle on any kind of boat, ferry, train, lorry or airplane without the written permission. of Hpower NC Car Rental. Vehicles can only be driven on paved roads and cannot be driven on beaches. Violations may void any insurance or waivers.
Driver Qualifications
All Renters are required to have a Valid Drivers License with a clean driving record from their country of residence for at least 2 years as well as a valid major credit card in his or her own name. Temporary drivers licenses are not accepted. If their Drivers License is not in the Roman alphabet a valid Intl Drivers License is required and they must present their passport. Additional drivers MUST meet the same requirements as the Renter Each additional driver will be charged a surcharge of 9.99USD per day-max 99.99USD. Spouses are charged 3.75USD per day. Drivers must be at least 18 years of age - maximum is 75 years. Renters between the ages of 18 and 24 will be charged an underage surcharge of 15.25USD per day. All fees and surcharges are taxable. Local renters are considered any North or South Carolina drivers license holder. Local renters are limited to 100 free miles per day, additional miles will be charged at 0.50 USD per mile. Local renters must present full coverage insurance in their name from the companies listed in the Insurance section above with 1 M US Liability coverage, a security deposit of 1000USD and must show a return flight or hotel reservation in their name. Local renters may not drive out of state.
Credit Card Guarantees
If you have reserved a pay on arrival rental, a credit card guarantee is required in order to reserve a vehicle. This credit card will be validated at the time of reservation and may show a 1.00USD temporary authorization on your credit card statement. However, no actual guarantee fee will be incurred unless the Customer is a No Show; in which case a No Show fee equivalent to a one day rental or a minimum of 50.00USD will be charged to the credit card provided as a guarantee. If your plans change you can avoid this fee by cancelling your reservation through the same site on which you made your reservation at least 48 hours in advance of your scheduled rental time. If you reserved a Prepaid (Pay Now) reservation, you will be charged a Booking Fee equivalent to the total charges of your reservation. The Credit Card used for prepayment MUST be presented at the rental counter at time of pick up. This is a non-refundable reservation and may not be modified. If you do not pick up your rental when scheduled your reservation will be cancelled and you will not receive a refund or a credit.
Inclusive Rates`
Should you purchase an Inclusive Rate Package the rate includes Collision Damage Waiver,Theft Protection, and Mandatory liability Coverage, subject to an excess of 1500USD, and all mandatory taxes and fees. NOT included in your rate is the Fuel, Underage Drivers Fee, Additional Drivers Fee and special Equipment such as baby seats GPS or any additional coverage or any other option. Please note a 1000USD security deposit will be required.
Credit/Debit Policy
We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.i credit cards. Debit, prepaid cards or cash are not accepted for rental. Renters must present a valid credit card listed above in their own name with sufficient funds to cover the estimated rental plus the security deposit even if the rental was fully prepaid. The security deposit will be taken on all rentals for up to 10 business days after the vehicle is returned on time with no damage. The deposit amount depends on the terms of the rental. It will be from 350USD up to 1000USD. Local residents and Renters who decline our coverage will have a deposit for 1000USD.
Legal Notice
NU Car Rentals provides a car rental affiliate reservation system and acts as an agent for the convenience of you the customer and the local owned and operated car rental firm. We use reasonable commercial efforts to insure the accuracy of all information posted on our website or distributed to other websites. Our liability, if any, shall be limited to the amount of rental charges paid to us. The terms, conditions and prevailing law covering the rental shall be those stated on the rental contract presented at the actual rental location.
Additional Information
If you booked a Pay Now Special rate you will be charged in US dollars a nonrefundable deposit equivalent to the amount of the rental charges for the reserved period. Charges will appear on your statement as NU Car Rentals Website San Antonio, TX. Additional charges will be collected at rental in local currency A rental day consists of a 24 hour period. Changes to the reservation may result in a change of rate or an additional fee. There are no refunds for early returns. If After hours returns are permitted the renter will be billed to the start of the next business day and is responsible for the rental vehicle until inspected by a company representative. Please inquire at the rental counter for further details. Note there is no shuttle service available outside hours of operation Reservations for multiple vehicles must be made in different names or may not be honored. Smoking in vehicles or returning the vehicle where special cleaning may incur an additional fee per local policy. Makes and models are examples only and are not guaranteed.
