Arrival Details
NU Car Rentals service is provided in cooperation with Corpusa Car Rental at Ft. Lauderdale Airport. Upon arrival take the Airport bus to the car rental center then proceed to Bus Stop G where our NU Car Rentals shuttle will pick you up. Should you need to contact us please call 1-800-314-7306 and we will be happy to assist you. Cars are held up to 2 hrs after the arrival time on your reservation during office hours. Vehicles are not allowed to leave the state of Florida.
Insurance Excess Deposit
A security deposit of 1000.00 USD with the exception of Florida Residents will be held at the start of the rental. A security deposit of 2000.00 USD will be held for all Florida Residents at the start of the rental. Florida Residents must provide proof of insurance and bring declaration page. Excess The renter is responsible for all damage or loss to the to the rental vehicle. This responsibility may be reduced or eliminated. For additional information please inquire at our rental counter.
Special Equipment
Child seat is.12.99USD per day GPS 14.99USD per day Please make arrangements at time of reservation as supplies are limited. Sunpass prepaid tolls is available for 14.95USD per day. Failure to use a toll pass on toll roads results in a 25.00USD per toll fine up to 250.00USD per rental.
Fuel
Full Tank of fuel is provided at time of rental. A Refueling Fee of 53.00USD plus 7.00USD per gallon will be charged if vehicle fuel tank is not returned full.
One Way Pollicy
One way rentals are not available.
Geographic Restrictions
It is prohibited to travel outside the state of Florida. A 500USD fee will apply for violations of this policy. Florida residents receive 100 free miles per day. Additonal miles are .50USD per mile.
Driver Qualification
All Drivers must present a valid Drivers License as well as a major credit card in their own name at the time of rental. International renters must have a valid Drivers License from their country of residence. Drivers License must be in English. If not in English we accept International Drivers Permit along with the original valid drivers license of resident country. Additional Drivers must meet the same requirements as the renter Each additional driver will be charged an Additional Drivers Surcharge of 9.99USD day. Drivers must be between the ages of 21 and 80. Drivers between the ages of 21 and 24 will be required to pay an Underage Surcharge of 15.99USD per day ALL drivers must have their name on the rental agreement at the time of rental.
Credit Card Guarantees
If you have reserved a pay on arrival rental, a credit card guarantee is required in order to reserve a vehicle. This credit card will be validated at the time of reservation and may show a 1.00USD temporary authorization on your credit card statement. However, no actual guarantee fee will be incurred unless the Customer is a No Show; in which case a No Show fee equivalent to a one day rental or a minimum of 50.00USD will be charged to the credit card provided as a guarantee. If your plans change you can avoid this fee by cancelling your reservation through the same site on which you made your reservation at least 48 hours in advance of your scheduled rental time. If you reserved a Prepaid (Pay Now) reservation, you will be charged a Booking Fee equivalent to the total charges of your reservation. The Credit Card used for prepayment MUST be presented at the rental counter at time of pick up. This is a non-refundable reservation and may not be modified. If you do not pick up your rental when scheduled your reservation will be cancelled and you will not receive a refund or a credit.
Inclusive Rate Pkg.
Should you purchase an Inclusive Rate Package please note that Collision and Theft waivers, as well as Taxes and Fees are included in your rate. You will remain responsible for any coverage excess as listed under Insurance or Damage Waiver. NOT included in your rate is the Fuel, Underage Drivers Fee, Additional Drivers Fee and special Equipment such as baby seats GPS or cell phones, any additional coverage or any other option. Renters relying on credit card or third-party website purchase coverage, are financially responsible for all vehicle damage or loss,all repairs and or vehicle replacement prior to departure. Renter may seek reimbursement from their insurance provider. Be advised, the purchase of additional rental vehicle coverage at the time of rental is optional and final. Refunds cannot be issued.
Credit Card Policy
We accept Visa MasterCard American Express and Discover. Debit cards prepaid cards or cash are not accepted for rental. Renters must present a valid credit card listed above in their own name with sufficient funds to cover the estimated rental plus the security deposit even if the rental was fully prepaid. The security deposit will be taken on all rentals and held up to 10 business days after the vehicle is returned on time without damage. The deposit amount depends on the terms of the rental 250.00USD to 1000USD. All fees are taxable.

NU Car Rentals provides a car rental affiliate reservation system and acts as an agent for the convenience of you the customer and the local owned and operated car rental firm. We use reasonable commercial efforts to insure the accuracy of all information posted on our website or distributed to other websites. Our liability, if any, shall be limited to the amount of rental charges paid to us. The terms, conditions and prevailing law covering the rental shall be those stated on the rental contract presented at the actual rental location.
Additional Information
If you booked a Pay Now Special rate you will be charged in US dollars a nonrefundable deposit equivalent to the amount of the rental charges for the reserved period. Charges will appear on your statement as NU Car Rentals Website San Antonio, TX. Additional charges will be collected at rental in local currency A rental day consists of a 24 hour period. Changes to the reservation may result in a change of rate or an additional fee. There are no refunds for early returns. If After hours returns are permitted the renter will be billed to the start of the next business day and is responsible for the rental vehicle until inspected by a company representative. Please inquire at the rental counter for further details. Note there is no shuttle service available outside hours of operation Reservations for multiple vehicles must be made in different names or may not be honored. Smoking in vehicles or returning the vehicle where special cleaning may incur an additional fee per local policy. Makes and models are examples only and are not guaranteed.
