Upon Arrival
Upon arrival at McCarran Intl Airport follow the airport signs and board the shuttle to the Airport Car Rental Center. When you arrive at the Car Rental Center proceed to Sign number 4 at the Off Airport shuttle pick up. Our NU Car Rental shuttle will be waiting to take you to our location just across the street. Should you need to contact us please call 702-462-2664 for info or pick up. Local renters may rent economy, compact, midsize or full size cars and midsize SUVs. After hours drops are allowed at our location. Vehicles are held during office hours up to 2 hours after the arrival time on your reservation.
Insurance
The renter is responsible for any damage to the rental vehicle regardless of fault. LDW - Loss Damage Waiver is $23.99 USD/day for all cars. LDW has a zero deductible. SLI- Supplemental Liability Insurance will provide up to one million USD protection for third party claims. It is $17.00USD per day. PAC - Personal Accident Coverage provides up to 150 thousand USD for passengers and certain property in the vehicle for 5.19USD per day. Glass and Tire Protection is available for 7.99USD per day. Roadside Assistance is available for 4.99USD per day. Lost and Found - Nu Car Rentals is not responsible for lost or stolen items If you left a personal item in your rental vehicle we highly recommend that you report your lost items at your earliest convenience and we will do our best to find it. The best option to report your lost item is to contact our Customer Care department at cc@nucarrentals.us.Please reference your rental agreement number and an item description in your email. You can also call our Customer Care Dept at 702-462-2664 to report your lost item. Our policy is to hold items for 30 days if they are found in the vehicle or at a NU Car Rentals location. After 30 days items may be donated or disposed of based on the location's available hold space or other factors.
Special Equipment
Child safety seats are available for $10.00USD/day, with a maximum of 99.99USD per rental. Please specify the size seat needed. GPS is 9.99USD per day up to a maximum of 99.99USD per rental. All fees are plus tax. Request at the rental counter or call us for availability.
Fuel
All cars are provided with a full tank of fuel and should be returned with a full tank of fuel in order to avoid a locally determined refueling charge. This charge will include the price of fuel as well as the service required to refuel the vehicle. Prepaid fuel options are available. Please inquire at the rental counter. Credit is not issued for unused fuel.
One Way Rentals
One way drops are allowed between our NU Car Rental locations in Las Vegas, San Francisco, Phoenix, Salt Lake City or Denver with prior approval and a drop fee.
Geographic Restrictions
All renters have unlimited mileage in the following states only-Nevada, Arizona, California, Utah, Colorado. Violation of restriction limitation will result in a mileage charge of 0.20 USD for each mile driven during the entire duration of the rental period. An Express Toll Package can be purchased at the counter for 9.99USD/day. Failure to purchase an Express Toll package will leave you responsible for all tolls plus a 30.00USD Admin surcharge for each toll violation. Vehicles are only allowed to be driven on paved roads and cannot be driven off terrain or on beaches- doing so will void all insurance and coverages.
Driver Qualification
All Drivers must present a valid Drivers License as well as have a clean driving record. They must also present a major credit card in their own name at time of rental. International drivers with the exception of Canada, must have a valid international drivers license and passport in order to qualify. The deposit will vary from 300-3000USD depending on the location and duration of the rental. Additional Drivers MUST meet the same requirements as the renter and must be added to the contract at the rental counter. The additional driver fee is 12.97USD Per Day. No additional driver fee for your spouse. All drivers between the ages of 21 and 24 may only rent the ECAR/CCAR/SCAR/FCAR/IFAR/SFAR/FFAR/MVAR - NO Premium or Specialty Vehicles Young drivers 21-24 years are allowed with an Underage Drivers Fee of 25.00 USD Per Day otherwise, drivers must be between 25-80 years of age. All fees are taxable.
Credit Card Guarantees
If you have reserved a pay on arrival rental, a credit card guarantee is required in order to reserve a vehicle. This credit card will be validated at the time of reservation and may show a 1.00USD temporary authorization on your credit card statement. However, no actual guarantee fee will be incurred unless the Customer is a No Show; in which case a No Show fee equivalent to a one day rental or a minimum of 50.00USD will be charged to the credit card provided as a guarantee. If your plans change you can avoid this fee by cancelling your reservation through the same site on which you made your reservation at least 48 hours in advance of your scheduled rental time. If you reserved a Prepaid (Pay Now) reservation, you will be charged a Booking Fee equivalent to the total charges of your reservation. The Credit Card used for prepayment MUST be presented at the rental counter at time of pick up. This is a non-refundable reservation and may not be modified. If you do not pick up your rental when scheduled your reservation will be cancelled and you will not receive a refund or a credit.
Inclusive Rates
Should you purchase our Inclusive Rate Package please note our rate includes the Loss Damage Waiver Theft taxes and Fees. LDW has a zero excess or deductible. NOT included in your rate is the Fuel Underage Drivers Fee Additional Drivers Fee and Special Equipment such as Baby seats and GPS as well as the Supplemental Liability Insurance or any other available option.
Credit/Debit Card
We accept American Express Visa Master Card and Discover card A security deposit will be held at the start of the rental. It will include the estimated amount of the rental plus a deposit. The deposit amount will vary between 300.00USD and 3000.00USD depending on the type of vehicle and duration of rental. Local renters will have a deposit of 500 - 3000USD depending on car type and length of rental. These funds will no longer be available for immediate use and may take up to 30 days - depending on your bank - to become available. We will not be responsible for any returned checks or insufficient fund charges or bank fees related to this process. Debit Cards are NOT an accepted form of payment or qualification. Cash is not accepted for qualification at the time of rental but may be used for payment upon return of the vehicle. A major Credit Card is still required to qualify to rent. Vouchers and prepaid cards are not accepted. For all prepaid rentals - the person who prepaid for the rental must be present with the same credit card in his or her own name that was used to prepay the reservation in order to pick up the rental. There will be a deposit for prepaid rentals. All fees are plus tax.
Legal Notice
NU Car Rentals provides a car rental affiliate reservation system and acts as an agent for the convenience of you the customer and the local owned and operated car rental firm. We use reasonable commercial efforts to insure the accuracy of all information posted on our website or distributed to other websites. Our liability, if any, shall be limited to the amount of rental charges paid to us. The terms, conditions and prevailing law covering the rental shall be those stated on the rental contract presented at the actual rental location.
Additional Information
If you booked a Pay Now Special rate you will be charged in US dollars a nonrefundable deposit equivalent to the amount of the rental charges for the reserved period. Charges will appear on your statement as NU Car Rentals Website San Antonio, TX. Additional charges will be collected at rental in local currency A rental day consists of a 24 hour period. Changes to the reservation may result in a change of rate or an additional fee. There are no refunds for early returns. If After hours returns are permitted the renter will be billed to the start of the next business day and is responsible for the rental vehicle until inspected by a company representative. Please inquire at the rental counter for further details. Note there is no shuttle service available outside hours of operation Reservations for multiple vehicles must be made in different names or may not be honored. Smoking in vehicles or returning the vehicle where special cleaning may incur an additional fee per local policy. Makes and models are examples only and are not guaranteed.
