Upon Arrival
NU Car Rentals service is provided in cooperation with CAP Rent SA at Tocumen Airport in Panama. After exiting Customs please look for our agent with a sign bearing your name. Our shuttle will take you to our rental desk at the Hotel Riande Aeropuerto. Should you need to contact us please call plus 507-62827456. We hold vehicles 2 hours after the arrival time on your reservation during office hours.
Insurance
Third Party Liability Insurance - TPL or LI - is required by the Transit Authority Law in Panama. TPL has a maximum coverage of 1500USD - 3500USD depending on the vehicle rented. It is 16.00USD per day. Collision Damage Waiver - CDW reduces the renter responsibility for damage to the rental vehicle to the excess amount for the vehicle rented. Theft Waiver - THW is included with CDW and has the same excess amount. This basic coverage is 20.00USD per day for mini and economy 2-4 door vehicle groups with a maximum excess of 1500USD.and 20.00USD per day for compact 2-4 door vehicle groups with a maximum excess of 2000USD. CDW is 25.00USD per day day for intermediate 4-5 door vehicle groups and standard size 2-4 door vehicle groups with an excess of 2300USD.CDW is 25.00USD per day for economy, compact, intermediate and standard SUV groups with a maximum excess of 3000US. You may choose to use your credit card coverage for Collision Damage to the rental vehicle. This will require written proof of coverage in Panama for the vehicle rented during the rental period and a large deposit. All damages must be paid by the renter before leaving Panama. Credit card coverage is reimbursement to the cardholder. We offer Super Collision Damage Waiver - Super CDW which reduces your excess to a small manageable amount. Super CDW is 15.00USD for ALL CARS per day. It may not cover glass, tires and other accessories. Please check at the rental desk for more information. All fees are plus tax. PLEASE NOTE - A POLICE REPORT IS MANDATORY IN CASE OF AN ACCIDENT, OTHERWISE COVERAGE IS VOID. SMALL DENTS, CHIPS, SCRATCHES, LOST ACCESSORIES, ETC. ARE NOT COVERED. These costs will be covered by your initial deposit at the time of rental. Breakdown Assistance within the city is included at 1.00USD per day. Breakdwon Assistance outside the city should be coordinated with the rental office. Service fees will apply depending on the area of service. Please inquire at the rental counter at the time of rental. All fees and surcharges are taxable..

Fuel
Vehicle must be returned with the same fuel amount as was supplied to you at the time of pick up otherwise a refueling fee of 6.00USD per gallon will be charged, subject to market change. All fees and surcharges are taxable.
One Ways
One way rentals are not available. We do offer Delivery and Collection within the city limits for 25USD each way. For Delivery and Collection outside the city limits please contact us for availability and charges. All fees are taxable.
Geographic Restrictions
Cross border travel is not allowed. Panapass is the electronic toll system used in Panama. Customer must add balance to the vehicle Panapass account in order to use the Highway. Negative balance passes result in a Transit fine. Please ask our rental agent for more information.
Driver Qualifications
Drivers must be at least 25 years of age, possess a drivers license valid for at least one year, provide passport and picture ID,and a valid major credit card in their name at the time of rental. International Drivers License is not required Drivers 23-24 years are allowed with an underage fee - 6.00USD. per day. Additional drivers surcharge is 6.00USD per day. All Fees are taxable
Credit Card Guarantees
If you have reserved a pay on arrival rental, a credit card guarantee is required in order to reserve a vehicle. This credit card will be validated at the time of reservation and may show a 1.00USD temporary authorization on your credit card statement. However, no actual guarantee fee will be incurred unless the Customer is a No Show; in which case a No Show fee equivalent to a one day rental or a minimum of 50.00USD will be charged to the credit card provided as a guarantee. If your plans change you can avoid this fee by cancelling your reservation through the same site on which you made your reservation at least 48 hours in advance of your scheduled rental time. If you reserved a Prepaid (Pay Now) reservation, you will be charged a Booking Fee equivalent to the total charges of your reservation. The Credit Card used for prepayment MUST be presented at the rental counter at time of pick up. This is a non-refundable reservation and may not be modified. If you do not pick up your rental when scheduled your reservation will be cancelled and you will not receive a refund or a credit.
Inclusive Rates
Should you purchase our Inclusive Rate Package please note Collision and Theft waivers as well as Taxes Fees and Liability Coverage ARE included in your rate. NOT included is Fuel Underage Drivers Fee Additional Drivers Fee and special equipment such as baby seats GPS Additional Liability Insurance or any other available option. Should the rental vehicle suffer damage or loss the Renter will be responsible for an excess with maximum amount as follows - mini and economy 2-4 door vehicle groups is 1500USD compact 2-4 door vehicle groups is 2000USD intermediate 4-5 door and standard 2-/4 door vehicle 2300USD economy, compact, intermediate or standard SUV is 3000USD. NOTE-Police report is mandatory or coverage is void. Small dents chips scratches lost accessories etc.are not covered.
Payment
All major credit cards such as Mastercard, Visa and AMEX are accepted. Credit Card must be in the renters name and is required for guarantee deposit. The amount of non-waivable excess plus the car rental amount due will be blocked on the credit card. Electron cards, Debit cards and cash are not accepted. Cash is accepted for payment only.. Out of hours early or late pick up or return are available for 35.00USD per service. All transit fines and other traffic violations must be paid by the customer. An administrative fee will be applied for any unpaid fine.Smoking is not allowed in our vehicles. A fee of 100USD will be charged to deodorize the vehicle. Pets are not allowed in our vehicle. The vehicle is delivered clean and must be returned in the same condition with normal wear an tear. If not returned in the same condition our rental agent will inform you of the cleaning fee for which you are responsible. All fees added to your initial rental charges are taxable.
Legal Notice
NU Car Rentals provides a car rental affiliate reservation system and acts as an agent for the convenience of you the customer and the local owned and operated car rental firm. We use reasonable commercial efforts to insure the accuracy of all information posted on our website or distributed to other websites. Our liability, if any, shall be limited to the amount of rental charges paid to us. The terms, conditions and prevailing law covering the rental shall be those stated on the rental contract presented at the actual rental location.
Additional Information
If you booked a Pay Now Special rate you will be charged in US dollars a nonrefundable deposit equivalent to the amount of the rental charges for the reserved period. Charges will appear on your statement as NU Car Rentals Website San Antonio, TX. Additional charges will be collected at rental in local currency A rental day consists of a 24 hour period. Changes to the reservation may result in a change of rate or an additional fee. There are no refunds for early returns. If After hours returns are permitted the renter will be billed to the start of the next business day and is responsible for the rental vehicle until inspected by a company representative. Please inquire at the rental counter for further details. Note there is no shuttle service available outside hours of operation Reservations for multiple vehicles must be made in different names or may not be honored. Smoking in vehicles or returning the vehicle where special cleaning may incur an additional fee per local policy. Makes and models are examples only and are not guaranteed.
