Upon Arrival Details
NU Car Rentals service is provided by Car 1 Rent A Car in Bulgaria. PLEASE REMEMBER TO INCLUDE YOUR FLIGHT DETAILS at the time of booking. In Terminal 1 exit the Arrivals Hall to the left and wait in front of the Customs Building for our NU Car- Car 1 blue Shuttle Van. If your arrived at Terminal 2 take the right exit of the Arrivals Hall following the yellow line on the floor to the Shuttle Bus stop where our NU Car-Car 1 blue Shuttle Van will pick you up. Should you need assistance please call us at + 359 885 62 55 55 and we will take care of you. We are available to assist you 24/7 but an After Hours Fee of 33.30 USD for pickups and drop offs between 6 PM and 9 AM will apply. Vehicles are held for up to 2 hours after the arrival time on your reservation during business hours. Please note our Mini through through luxury car, SUV and Van Elite models include 100 free kms per day, additional kms are 0.25Eur per km including VAT.
Insurance Info
Collision Damage Waiver-CDW is optional and can be purchased when you pick up your car. If purchased the renter will be responsible only for the excess - deductible - rather than the entire cost of the vehicle. CDW does not cover damage to the following exterior parts and mechanical components: chassis, engine, clutch, battery, locks, components on the underside of vehicle, windows and windscreen and the ceiling. CDW DOES NOT cover interior damage to the vehicle! Additional Insurance (AI) - covers damage to the following exterior parts and mechanical components: chassis, engine, clutch, battery, locks, components on the underside of the vehicle, windows and windscreen and the ceiling. AI DOES NOT cover interior damage to the vehicle! Super CDW(AI+CDW/LDW) or SCDW - optional for every client. SCDW means that the client will NOT be charged the amount of the excess for: Damage to the rented vehicle exterior or mechanical components as follows: CDW, LDW, car body, hood, chassis, wind- shield, windows,locks, mirrors, motor, car battery clutch - immobilization costs of financial losses incurred by Car 1 due to repairs of rented vehicle. NOTE: CDW DOES NOT cover interior damage to the car,. PLEASE NOTE: In the event of accident, any damage or theft, whatever the cause or whoever is at fault, even if the car was left unattended, the driver must obtain the relevant report from the Bulgarian Police. Failure to do so or failure to provide a completed report to the rental agent on return will void any and all coverage/insurance and the driver will be liable for the total cost of the damage up to and including the full value of the vehicle, loss of use, administrative cost and depreciation. Special Equipment
Infant and Child/Toddler seats are available upon request for 3.00 EUR/day, but not more than 35.00 EUR per rental. Car Wi-Fi is 4.00 EURO/day. GPS Satellite Navigation is available for 4.00 EURO/day but not more than 50.00 EURO/reservation. A Winterization Fee of 3.00 EURO/day WILL BE CHARGED during months of November through March. Request at the rental counter.
Fuel Options
All vehicles are provided with fuel and should be returned with the same amount of fuel as was received. If any refueling is necessary renter will be charged 1.50 EUR per liter as well as a 10.00 EURO Refueling charge.
One-Way Options
One way rentals are allowed between any Car 1 locations within Bulgaria. A Drop Fee will apply and the rental counter must be must be advised at time of rental. Drop charges between - Burgas AP and Sofia AP 220 EUR Burgas AP and Varna AP 160 EUR Sofia AP and Varna AP 280 EUR
Geographic Restrict.
All vehicles may circulate in the following European countries subject to prior notification and acceptance from Car 1 - Romania, Hungary, Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Poland, Slovakia and Slovenia. The renter must pay a minimum fee that will increase depending on the number of days of the rental - 66.00 EUR per rental of 5 days and less and for rentals of 6 days or more a charge of 13.00 EUR per day will apply. Should you take the vehicle and leave Bulgaria without written permission from Car 1 a 1000.00 EUR penalty fee will apply. Please note our Mini through through luxury car, SUV and Van Elite models include 100 free kms per day, additional kms are 0.25Eur per km including VAT. These models include the following NDMR - Kia Picanto or similar HDMR - Seat Ibiza or similar DDMR - VW Golf or similar JWMR - Opel Astra Estate of similar RVMR - Opel Zafira 5 plus 2 or similar DFMR - Kia Stonic or similar.
Driver Qualification
The driver MUST present a valid Drivers License from their country of residence. An International Drivers License is needed for countries with non-Bulgarian alphabet. The Renter must also present a passport and a major credit card with his or her own name on it and a return ticket at the time of rental. You must be at least 19 years old to rent an Economy or Compact car and 24 years or older for all other vehicles. There is an underage surcharge of 5.00 Eur per day for drivers between the ages of 19 and 24. Each additional driver MUST meet the same age and document requirements as the primary driver. Each additional driver will also be charged an Additional Driver Surcharge of 5.00 EUR per day plus the Underage Surcharge if they are underage. A maximum of 2 additional drivers per car is allowed.
Credit Card Guarantees
If you have reserved a pay on arrival rental, a credit card guarantee is required in order to reserve a vehicle. This credit card will be validated at the time of reservation and may show a 1.00USD temporary authorization on your credit card statement. However, no actual guarantee fee will be incurred unless the Customer is a No Show; in which case a No Show fee equivalent to a one day rental or a minimum of 50.00USD will be charged to the credit card provided as a guarantee. If your plans change you can avoid this fee by cancelling your reservation through the same site on which you made your reservation at least 48 hours in advance of your scheduled rental time. If you reserved a Prepaid (Pay Now) reservation, you will be charged a Booking Fee equivalent to the total charges of your reservation. The Credit Card used for prepayment MUST be presented at the rental counter at time of pick up. This is a non-refundable reservation and may not be modified. If you do not pick up your rental when scheduled your reservation will be cancelled and you will not receive a refund or a credit.
Inclusive Rate Pkg.
Collision Damage Waiver (CDW/LDW) Third Party Liability Taxes and Fees are included in the rate. Renter is responsible for the Excess in case of accident. See Insurance for Excess amount. This DOES NOT cover Tires Windshields and Interior. NOT INCLUDED are AI-Additional Insurance or SCDW - AI + CDW or any other available option such as Car Seats or GPS. See excess in Insurance section.
Payment Qualificatio
The Renter MUST present a valid Passport, drivers license and credit card in his or her own name at time of rental. We accept MasterCard, Maestro and Visa cards as well as cash payment but the deposit for the rental MUST be on the credit card. A Credit Card authorization equal to the estimated amount of the rental plus a deposit between 850 to 1400 EUR is required at the time of rental. The amount of the deposit will depend on vehicle and optional insurance policy selected at the counter. If no coverage is purchased from Car 1 the Excess amount required for the deposit may cover the full value of the vehicle. Cash and debit cards are accepted if Full Coverage - CDW and AI is purchased at the rental counter. No refunds are made for early returns or contract cancellations.
Legal Notice
NU Car Rentals provides a car rental affiliate reservation system and acts as an agent for the convenience of you the customer and the local owned and operated car rental firm. We use reasonable commercial efforts to insure the accuracy of all information posted on our website or distributed to other websites. Our liability, if any, shall be limited to the amount of rental charges paid to us. The terms, conditions and prevailing law covering the rental shall be those stated on the rental contract presented at the actual rental location.
Additional Information
If you booked a Pay Now Special rate you will be charged in US dollars a nonrefundable deposit equivalent to the amount of the rental charges for the reserved period. Charges will appear on your statement as NU Car Rentals Website San Antonio, TX. Additional charges will be collected at rental in local currency A rental day consists of a 24 hour period. Changes to the reservation may result in a change of rate or an additional fee. There are no refunds for early returns. If After hours returns are permitted the renter will be billed to the start of the next business day and is responsible for the rental vehicle until inspected by a company representative. Please inquire at the rental counter for further details. Note there is no shuttle service available outside hours of operation Reservations for multiple vehicles must be made in different names or may not be honored. Smoking in vehicles or returning the vehicle where special cleaning may incur an additional fee per local policy. Makes and models are examples only and are not guaranteed.
