Upon Arrival
NU Car Rentals service is provided in cooperation with Guys Car Rental on the Island of Saint Lucia. Upon arrival and once you have picked up your baggage please proceed to the NU Car Rental Desk located in the Rental Car Area of the Arrival Terminal. Should you need to contact us, please call 758-451-7885 or 758-451-8059. After Hour Drop Offs are permitted in any area of the city, with a charge of up to $45.00 USD. You must advise the location prior to the drop off for directions. We also provide 24 Hr. Roadside assistance at no cost. Should you need to reach us outside our operating hours, please call us at 758-450-1082. We will hold your vehicle for up to two hours after the time received on your reservation during business hours. We wish you a safe trip to our Island.
Coverage
CDW is not mandatory and may be purchased for $15.00 USD/day for all car types. The renter is responsible for the first $1,500 USD in damages, providing the renter conforms to the law of the State and the Rental Agreement. Should the renter NOT purchase our CDW, they will be responsible for the full value of any and all damages or loss of the vehicle PAI - Personal accident insurance is available at USD$7.00/day.
Special Equipment
Child and Infant seats are available upon request at $8.00/day. GPS is also available at $9.99/day. Request at the rental counter.
Fuel Options
Rental vehicles must be returned with the same amount of fuel as it was received or a Refueling charge plus the cost of the replacement fuel will apply.
One Ways
One Ways are not allowed. Any questions please ask at the Rental Counter.
Geographic Restrict
Rental vehicles may not be taken off the Island of Saint Lucia.
Driver Qualification
All valid Drivers Licenses are accepted. In the absence of an international driver's license the renter will be required to purchase a local Driving Permit to drive in Saint Lucia. This can be obtained at the rental counter at time of rental and will cost $23.00 USD. The original Driver's License must be presented at the same time. The minimum age is 21. Renters and drivers between the ages of 21 and 24 will be charged an Underage Surcharge of $9.00 USD/day. Additional drivers will also be charged an Additional Surcharge of $5.00 USD/day. Both underage and additional drivers must meet all rental agreement requirements, have a valid driver's license for at least one year with no endorsements and have a major credit card in their own name.
Guarantee Policy
Unless otherwise advised a credit card guarantee is required in order to reserve a car. However no actual guarantee fee will be incurred UNLESS customer is a NO SHOW; in which case a No Show fee equivalent of a one-day rental plus taxes and fees, or a minimum of $50.00 will be charged to the credit card provided as guarantee. If your plans change you can avoid this fee by cancelling your reservation THRU THE SAME WEBSITE where you made your reservation at least 48 hours in advance of the scheduled rental time.
Inclusive Rate Pckg
All taxes and fees are included in the rate. The CDW is also included in the rate. The Renter will be responsible for the first $1500.00 if there is any damage or loss to the vehicle. We also offer PAI - Personal Accident Insurance at a rate of USD $7.00 per day. Underage and additional driver fees, as well as special equipment such as GPS and infant and child seats are not included in the rate.
Credit /Debit
We accept American Express Visa, MasterCard, Discover and Diners Club. A security deposit will be held at the start of the rental. It will include the estimated amount of the rental plus a deposit of $250.00USD. This amount may vary depending on the vehicle type and the length of the rental. Cash is not accepted for qualification at the time of rental but may be used for payment upon return of the vehicle. A major credit card is still required to qualify to rent. Vouchers and debit cards are accepted for payment.
Legal Notice
NU Car Rentals provides a car rental affiliate reservation system and acts as an agent for the convenience of you the customer and the local owned and operated car rental firm. We use reasonable commercial efforts to insure the accuracy of all information posted on our website or distributed to other websites. Our liability, if any, shall be limited to the amount of rental charges paid to us. The terms, conditions and prevailing law covering the rental shall be those stated on the rental contract presented at the actual rental location.
Additional Information
If you booked a Pay Now Special rate you will be charged in US dollars a nonrefundable deposit equivalent to the amount of the rental charges for the reserved period. Charges will appear on your statement as NU Car Rentals Website San Antonio, TX. Additional charges will be collected at rental in local currency A rental day consists of a 24 hour period. Changes to the reservation may result in a change of rate or an additional fee. There are no refunds for early returns. If After hours returns are permitted the renter will be billed to the start of the next business day and is responsible for the rental vehicle until inspected by a company representative. Please inquire at the rental counter for further details. Note there is no shuttle service available outside hours of operation Reservations for multiple vehicles must be made in different names or may not be honored. Smoking in vehicles or returning the vehicle where special cleaning may incur an additional fee per local policy. Makes and models are examples only and are not guaranteed.
