Upon Arrival
NU Car Rentals service is provided by Eagle Zanzibar Car Rental at Zanzibar AP. On arrival look for our NU Car-Eagle Car Rental driver in the Arrivals Hall with a sign bearing your name. If your flight details were not provided with your reservation please call 255778671531 to confirm your flight arrival time. Your vehicle is delivered to the airport. After hours service is available. Please contact us for arrangements. When arriving after hours please call 255778671531. We hold vehicles up to 2 hours after the arrival time on your reservation during business hours.
Insurance
Comprehensive Insurance is included in your rate. The excess is 400USD. Collision Damage or medical expense is not covered. This does not cover damage to tires, rims, glass, mirrors, under carriage or damage or loss due to driver violating the law or rental contract or under the influence of alcohol, drugs or similar substances. Collision Damage Waiver is available for 20.00USD per day with a 500.00USD excess. Glass and Tire Protection is 20.00USD per day. Basic Liability is included in Supplemental Liability Insurance coveringe covering up to 10000USD is 150.00USD per day. Personal Accident Coverage is available at 800.00USD per day. In case of an accident please call us immediately. We will come to help you deal with any situation including medical, car repair or replacement and required documents.
Special Equipment
The following special equipment is available. Please contact us to reserve or ask at the rental counter. Infant, baby and booster seats are available for 5.00USD per day up to 25.00USD per rental. GPS is 10.00USD per day up to 30.00USD per rental. Cell phone is 10.00USD per day up to 30.00USD per rental.
Fuel
Fuel should be returned at the same level as provided to you. If not returned at the same level the renter will be charged for the missing fuel at the local price per liter.
One Ways
One way drops are allowed to the following places with prior authorization and a fee of 25.00USD - Nungai, Jambiani, Paje, Mangapwani, Pwani Mchangani, Kiwengwa, Kendwa, Kizmkazi, or returned to the Zanzibar Airport or our Stone Town location on Mkunazini St with no fee.
Geog. restrictions
The rental vehicle may not leave Tanzania nor can it be driven on beaches or off paved roads. Violations will void any and all insurance coverage.
Driver Qualification
The renter and any additional driver must present a full and valid license of at least 2 years with current endorsements and a second proper identification such as a passport. If not in the Roman alphabet an International License is required. A Zanzibar driving permit is needed in order to drive in Zanzibar. The 10.00USD cost is included in your rate. Minimum age is 23 and maximum age is 70. The additional driver fee is 10.00USD per day up to 30.00USD per rental, max 2 additional drivers. Young drivers under 25 yrs have a Young Driver fee of 20.00USD/day.
Credit Card Guarantees
If you have reserved a pay on arrival rental, a credit card guarantee is required in order to reserve a vehicle. This credit card will be validated at the time of reservation and may show a 1.00USD temporary authorization on your credit card statement. However, no actual guarantee fee will be incurred unless the Customer is a No Show; in which case a No Show fee equivalent to a one day rental or a minimum of 50.00USD will be charged to the credit card provided as a guarantee. If your plans change you can avoid this fee by cancelling your reservation through the same site on which you made your reservation at least 48 hours in advance of your scheduled rental time. If you reserved a Prepaid (Pay Now) reservation, you will be charged a Booking Fee equivalent to the total charges of your reservation. The Credit Card used for prepayment MUST be presented at the rental counter at time of pick up. This is a non-refundable reservation and may not be modified. If you do not pick up your rental when scheduled your reservation will be cancelled and you will not receive a refund or a credit.
Inclusive
Should you purchase an Inclusive package please be aware Basic Liability, Collision Damage Waiver, Comprehensive, Taxes, Fees are included in your rate. You remain responsible for the excess associated with the coverages- Collision Damage Waiver-500USD or Comprehensive Insurance-400USD. Not included is fuel, additional driver fees or special equipment such as baby seats or any other available options.
Credit and Debit
We accept Mastercard and Visa credit cards. Debit cards or any other cards are not accepted. A deposit will be taken consisting of the estimated cost of the rental plus an amount which depends on the type of car rented. If the rental charges are prepaid the person who preapid the rental must be present with the same credit card used to prepay the rental. The additional amount of deposit is - MDMR EDMR ECAR 1000EUR, CCMR CCAR 1200EUR and IFMR IFAR FFMR and FFAR 1400EUR. All fees include VAT. Additional fees may be assessed for the following - Pick Up or Drop Off outside office hours 25EUR, Cleaning fee 50EUR, Smoking Fee 50EUR, Pets Prohibited Fee 50EUR, Traffice Fine 50EUR plus amount of the fine, Admin fee where applicable 50EUR.

NU Car Rentals provides a car rental affiliate reservation system and acts as an agent for the convenience of you the customer and the local owned and operated car rental firm. We use reasonable commercial efforts to insure the accuracy of all information posted on our website or distributed to other websites. Our liability, if any, shall be limited to the amount of rental charges paid to us. The terms, conditions and prevailing law covering the rental shall be those stated on the rental contract presented at the actual rental location.
Additional Information
If you booked a Pay Now Special rate you will be charged in US dollars a nonrefundable deposit equivalent to the amount of the rental charges for the reserved period. Charges will appear on your statement as NU Car Rentals Website San Antonio, TX. Additional charges will be collected at rental in local currency A rental day consists of a 24 hour period. Changes to the reservation may result in a change of rate or an additional fee. There are no refunds for early returns. If After hours returns are permitted the renter will be billed to the start of the next business day and is responsible for the rental vehicle until inspected by a company representative. Please inquire at the rental counter for further details. Note there is no shuttle service available outside hours of operation Reservations for multiple vehicles must be made in different names or may not be honored. Smoking in vehicles or returning the vehicle where special cleaning may incur an additional fee per local policy. Makes and models are examples only and are not guaranteed.
